On Saturday 9 November 2024, 56 VEX IQ teams from across Thailand came to St Andrews Bangkok for the VIQRC Rapid Relay Tournament — teamwork challenges, skills matches and an autonomous coding challenge, refereed and scored with the help of senior student volunteers.
In the school's own words, the event was “expertly organized by Mr Rob” — RAT's Rob Parker — with Matt Bonnell among the support team on the day. Two weeks later the same venue hosted the Rapid Relay Signature Event, with around 100 teams from 13 countries.
